OUR COACHES
Sandee Lark
Head Coach
Sandee Lark is a 4-time IFBB Professional bodybuilding champion and owner of Lions Lair Pro Gym. She most recently placed 4th at the Masters Olympia in Tokyo, competing against the best in the world on the sport's biggest masters stage.

That experience is what she brings to the athletes she coaches. Sandee has spent 5 years preparing competitors for the stage, from first-time local shows through pro qualifiers, and has guided 10+ athletes to national qualification. She coaches primarily women's divisions anywhere from Bikini to women's physique, handling every piece of a prep: training programming, nutrition and peak week, posing and stage presentation, and the mental side of a long contest cycle.

Her approach is built on highly personal and individualized coaching. She approaches coaching through the lense of tailoring each athlete's program to suit their specific physique and situation to bring the best out of all her athletes. She's competed through the same cycles she asks her athletes to run, and she coaches accordingly. You can expect weekly check-in's, in-person posing sessions, and off-season guidance when working with Sandee.

While Sandee does coach out of Lions Lair here in Colorado Springs, she does work with athletes all across the world. For coaching inquiries, give us a call at (719)-922-1480 or email: slark@lionslairprogym.com!

Bretton Wright
Men's Coach
Bretton has been an athlete all his life. Growing up he played many sports consisting of soccer, hockey, football, lacrosse, baseball, and golf. At age 14, unhappy with his skinny fat frame, he started working out in his basement determined to bulk up. He did the same exercises every day for a year and then slowly learned the importance of rest, nutrition, exercise form, and execution. Since then, he has been a student studying how to build muscle and lose fat through proper exercise and nutrition. Furthering his education at college with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Bretton is a lifelong learner. Bretton did his first bodybuilding competition in 2016 and has since then continued to compete, finishing top 5 at a national level. Bretton is motivated to help others avoid the many mistakes he made along his fitness journey by streamlining his client’s success to be their best self in and out of the gym.

Kaitlyn Butts

Paired with her Bachelor's of Science in Biology and extensive background in athletics, she takes a science backed approach to coaching. Understanding the biological systems of the human body helps her apply an approach that ensures longevity past what we have come to call our "prime years". As a competitor herself, kaitlyn understands the physical and mental demands of bodybuilding.

Caity Manzoeillo
Competition Coach
Caity is a J3U-certified coach currently completing her bachelor's degree in Healthy Lifestyle and Fitness. Her approach draws on five years of consistent training and a formal education in exercise and wellness.

She started coaching because, for her, few things are more rewarding than watching a client build confidence, discover what they're capable of, and begin to see themselves differently along the way.

Caity's coaching philosophy is built on three principles: mind-muscle connection, progressive overload, and patience. She believes real progress takes time, which is why she prioritizes quality reps over the number on the bar. In her view, adding weight at the expense of control and form doesn't make you stronger. It shifts tension away from the muscle you're trying to train and increases your risk of injury.

Her goal is to teach clients to move with control, train with intention, and get stronger in a way that lasts.
