Open 24 Hours: Convenience, Access, and a Floor That Isn’t Packed

Being open around the clock sounds like a logistics detail. It isn’t. It changes three specific things about training here, and each one is worth understanding on its own.

One: it fits your schedule instead of the reverse

Most people carry a small piece of permanent mental overhead about the gym. Is it open? Will I make it before it closes? Is it worth going if I’ve only got forty minutes left in the window?

That overhead is where consistency dies. Not in a lack of discipline, in the accumulation of small negotiations, each individually reasonable and collectively fatal to a habit.

Take the hours away and the negotiation disappears. There’s no window to make. There’s just the building, and whether you’re going.

It’s up at one in the morning because you can’t sleep and you may as well do something with it. It’s a 5am flight with an hour to kill first. It’s getting home at 10:30 from something that ran long and going anyway. It’s Sunday at 6am because that’s when the house is quiet. It’s the meeting that blew up your afternoon, so you shift the session to nine at night instead of writing off the day.

None of these are sessions a normal gym schedule permits. All of them count the same as the ones that happen at a convenient hour.

Two: getting in the door is frictionless

Convenience only means something if the access actually works. A gym that’s technically open at 3am but hard to get into at 3am hasn’t solved anything.

Getting access into the gym beyond staffed hours is pretty seamless. Each member receives access to our app that includes a variety of options (workout tracking, body metrics tracking, meal plan input, and two way messaging with a coach if you opt to work with one of our coaches) including the access barcode. This barcode can be added to your apple or samsung wallet if you prefer to bypass the app all together. We have a scanner placed to the right of the door, and once you hear the beep, it is unlocked for you to enter. If you experience any technical difficulties getting access, we do have a technical support number that you can call and the door will be remotely unlocked for your convenience.

Staffed hours versus access hours.  I stated earlier, the door is only locked beyond staffed hours. Our staffed hours are 10am-6pm Monday-Friday, and 8am-2pm on Saturday. Sundays we are not staffed, unless one of our trainers has scheduled a personal training session, but expect the doors to remain locked the entirety of the day. Parking is very straightforward, we have a parking lot right at the front of the building with streetlights for our late-night lifters.

Three: the floor doesn’t get congested

This is the benefit almost nobody thinks about until they’ve experienced it, and it’s arguably the biggest one.

A gym with hours doesn’t have fewer members than a 24 hour gym in Colorado Springs. It has the same members compressed into a narrower window. Everyone arrives between five and seven in the morning or between five and eight at night, because those are the only options. The result is the experience most people think of as normal: circling for a rack, asking to work in, restructuring your session around whatever happens to be free, and adding twenty minutes to a workout you’d already planned.

Open the building around the clock and the same demand spreads across far more hours. Peak still exists, we’re not going to pretend a Tuesday at 5:30pm is empty, but it’s lower, and the hours on either side thin out fast.

What that means practically:

  • You can run a program that requires specific equipment, instead of one built around whatever’s available

  • Supersets are a choice rather than a workaround for waiting

  • Your session takes the time it should take

  • The heavy end of the dumbbell rack is usually there when you want it

Shift a couple of your weekly sessions off-peak and you’ll notice the difference immediately. Shift all of them and you’re effectively training in a private facility.

What the room is like off-peak

There’s a quality to this place at 5am that people who train then recognize instantly and everyone else has trouble believing it.

Nobody’s socializing. Everything’s available. You move through the session without waiting for a rack or negotiating for a bench. The people there at that hour are, almost without exception, there to work.

Late is the same. The 10pm to midnight crowd is small, focused, and quiet.

If you’ve only ever trained at 5:30 on a weekday, you’ve experienced the most crowded version of a gym that exists. Off-peak, it’s a different building.

Who it matters most to

For a meaningful share of folks looking for a 24 hour gym in Colorado Springs, this isn’t a convenience, it’s the only way training happens at all. Duty schedules, twelve-hour shifts, and rotations that change every few weeks don’t negotiate with a facility that closes at ten.

We do offer a $50 signup discount to all our active duty, veteran, and first responder members. We also allow easy cancellations or account freezes if you are being deployed, facing a PCS, or need to adjust your membership due to work related reasons.

Come see it

Ideally at the hour you’d actually be using it. That’s the only way to know what your version of this gym looks like.

Give us a call or text at (719) 922-1480 with your name and preferred mode of contact and we’ll get you set up with a day pass that allows access regardless of staffed hours.

Thinking about coaching? We offer top of line, highly customizable, and personal coaching programs. Whether you're thinking about competing, getting into lifting, or just want to make some changes to your physique, we can help! For insight in what you can expect, we covered that separately:
